Comments
Sounds great.
Very interested in drush and excited to meet some fellow Drupal fans in the flesh.
Conflicting Appointment
Sorry to bail on this event, it sounded great and I was looking forward to meeting everyone. Family emergency has come up so I will have to wait for a future meetup to meet everyone.
I need to use drush ~This sounds like great a start.
Sure I think having meetups in Ottawa would be interesting.
drush is a command line shell and scripting interface for Drupal, a veritable Swiss Army knife designed to make life easier for those of us who spend some of our working hours hacking away at the command prompt.

Thanks for the hospitality
Thanks for the hospitality tonight I had a good time. Considering I mistakenly downgraded from drupal 7 to 6 and when I noticed the crash I blamed it on enabling Zen on drupal 7; I'm bad!!!
Any-way's that was something being around computer users since my brother moved. I'm just a dad who kept the net working at home until I decided to take up a hobby (web mastering 2.0) and started to pay for a remote server. I really better at knowing how an air conditioner or gas appliance works.
And now dream of getting a great google ranking one day.
Slides
Here's a link to the slides for tonight. I'll be making additions right up until show time but if you want to prepare questions feel free.

Downgrade from 7 to 6
hi guys,
Considering downgrading our site from drupal 7.0 to drupal 6.2, is there an easier way to do this, without losing user account and crashing the database/site.
Please assist!!!
Next Meetup?
Any Idea when the next meetup is scheduled?
Like to plan this in my schedule in advance.
Cheers

Multilingual meet-up
Hi Marc,
I've been working with Multilingual issues in D7 at the moment. It has been suggested that we use that for the next topic. There's been an i18n code sprint in Berlin over the last weekend which will surely lead to some more functionality or fixes. I was hoping to use only core Drupal for this project but translation of menus isn't included out of the box. Documentation is MUCH improved since the D7 launch. But it seems that we're still in a state of flux as i18n for D7 is still being developed.
Not sure if anyone is interested in leading the discussion? I'd be happy to read through and discuss Gábor Hojtsy's series of posts. They cover a lot of ground.
I'll see if the Artengine lab is free for our use. Tuesday has been suggested by colan.
There is some good material already online:
Gábor Hojtsy's series of posts:

A post from evolvingweb's Suzanne Kennedy:
http://evolvingweb.ca/story/drupal-7-multilingual-whats-new-i18n
And her notes from a Montréal Meetup:
I presented on the i18n Module for Drupal 7. I started with a breakdown of what the core Locale and Content Translation modules do in Drupal 7. Then I discussed how the i18n module has changed, and specifically how to configure the settings and features for each submodule. My slides are online at http://bit.ly/hQBh64.

Re: Multilingual meet-up
Seems like a good topic - especially since myself and my business partner have been fighting with this on a number of sites.
Do you mean next Tuesday? Day after the holiday Monday?
Cheers

Tuesday, June 7th
How about Tuesday, June 7th? This will give everyone a little bit of advanced warning. Usually we've been going with the first weekday-we've-chosen of the month.
