Philly Drupal Meetup : April 17th
public
group: Philadelphia Area
Nathan Gasser - Mon, 2008-04-14 15:18
Start:
2008-04-17 19:00 US/Eastern - 2008-04-17 21:00 US/EasternNothing like a little last minute Drupal meetup to keep April interesting! Mason started the discussions around a Mt. Airy meetup, which looks like it's coming together for May. So lets fill the gap with another Old City meetup this week, Thursday the 17th.
Obvious choices are a show-and-tell at IndyHall, or a social at National Mechanics.
Opinions on which people would like to do?
Thanks!

Unfortunately I've got a conflict and can't make the 17th. It's a shame too, because I've been meaning to check out IndyHall for a while now. I'll update my meetup post later today with a set date and time.

Thursday night at National Mechanics
So we're set for tomorrow night, Thursday 4/17 at National Mechanics.
Nobody from IndyHall will be home to let us in, so we can't go there this time.
So let's try an informal show-and-tell and encourage folks to bring laptops and show off their work, or discuss challenges with others. NatMechanics has great free wifi so we shouldn't have a problem.
Please take a moment to RSVP here so we know how many to expect. Look forward to seeing everyone!
Great time last night.
We hung out at NM for a while talking about Drupal related topics.
Then went to another bar that was broadcasting the Flyers game.
Look forward to doing it again.
Key things I learned...
how to take over the maintenance of a module
-You need to make a direct request in the project's issue queue. If that goes unanswered for two weeks then you can make a valid request to the Webmasters issue queue for a take over.
unfuddle http://unfuddle.com/
-for svn repository and issue queue
drink less beer
-every once in a while I have to relearn this lesson
