There is a barnraising event that will be held for a foundation here in South Florida. The Foundation generates funding for a variety of charitable organizations including United Cerebral Palsy, The Urban League of Broward County, The Boys and Girls Clubs and The American Diabetes Association, to name a few.
We will be building a website for them, from scratch, in one day.
We could use as many drupal volunteers as possible.
It will be held at the Hard Rock on February 4th, 2011 and attendees include current and previous Miami Dolphins players as well as the cheerleaders!
Besides the experience and the portfolio addition, you will have a table to display your business cards and recognition on the site itself.

Sounds like a great event - I think it would be a good idea to read ultimike's write-up from the Drupal.org home page about last year's "Coding for a Cause" event we held in February, and what we learned. I think a lot of people on this group might also be able to give you invaluable feedback.

Ok everybody, the event will take place at the Hard Rock hotel & casino in Hollywood, FL on February 4, 2011 @ 4:00pm. I have the space from 2:00pm until midnight.
The foundation will be raffling off superbowl tickets and signed memorabilia at the event. Dolphins cheerleaders will be there to help draw a crowd along with former and current Miami Dolphins players as well as other pro-athletes.
