    One possible resource that could bring us up to speed on the Drupal 7 Theming presentation is : Using the theme layer (Drupal 7.x). Feel free to offer other resources in the comments below. For those also interested in developing Drupal 7 modules have a look at Creating Drupal 7.x modules.

    The meeting will begin in the conference room at NJIT in Fenster Hall near computer lab 160. The group may split into two groups during presentations with one staying in the conference room and the other moving to the computer lab. Overhead projectors should be available.

    Parking will be in Lot 7 or the garage.

    Briefing of Train the trainer?

    Would Richard Baldwin and/or Ed Marsh care to give us a briefing of "Train the Trainer" before the presentation on Drupal 7 Theming?

    Lightning Round

    Richard Baldwin has expressed interest in instituting the exercise of a lightning round at our meetings. During a lightening round each participant briefly mentions a module which has caught their eye.

    Richard has offered to start by briefly discussing autonode titles.

    The suggestion has been raised that we set up our own group for NNJ Drupal on GDO.
    I have thought about this myself. Do we want to briefly discuss this during General Business?

    I don't think there is a need for an additional group given the modest traffic in this one - if you want to be promoted to a group admin so you can do some customizations, then just ask.

    This was discussed some time ago and rejected as it would have the affect of fracturing the NJ Drupal community. What would be nice though, IMHO would be a gathering of the CNJ and NNJ groups for an occasional combined meetup.

    I think the first order of business is to get a consensus on where to hold a joint meetup.

    It seems like we have three options:

    1. Meet some place (TBD) in the middle

    2. Meet at the regular meeting place of CNJ

    3. Meet at the regular meeting place of NNJ

    If anyone can think of other options that I have not thought of please chime in.

    I would really like to see this happen and am willing to put the effort in to make it so.

    Regarding meeting at the regular CNJ place: If we were to meet here, we can probably accommodate. Our facility has lots of parking after hours, and we have various rooms on campus. The room we normally use might not be comfortable for more than 15 or so, but we have larger rooms. Should we use a different room, I probably need to discuss that with people here, so it would be good to figure out an expected head count.

    I agree with pwolanin this group is not robust enough (yet) to merit its own top-level group

    only 3 signups for tomorrow's DUG - let's work on building our membership and attendance

    I was planning to come on 1/12 but 1/19 would be better for me too

    Tom should be made admin for this subgroup

    Snow Fall May Affect Meeting

    According to Accuweather.com we are expecting a snowfall to begin Tuesday 7pm and to continue through to Wednesday 4pm, with about 6.5 inches of snow. Although there have been predictions of up to 12 inches.

    Are there participants who will have troubling getting to NJIT as a result of the snow?

    I may cancel the meeting. If so, do we want to reschedule for the third Wednesday of the month (the following week)? Or just hold off until February (being optimistic that we don't get snowed out again)?

    If we reschedule for the third Wednesday, I will not be able to attend due to a scheduling conflict.

    If it's as bad as they predict, I generally won't drive anywhere.

    Of the two options, I'd prefer the following Wednesday, but only because I'm not sure I'll be able to make next month's meetup.

    I've decided to cancel tomorrow's meeting due to the impending snow storm, the number of people who prefer to reschedule and the low number of people who signed up.

    is the conference room available next Wednesday at the same time?

    If the room is available we can reschedule for next Wednesday. If not we can either wait until February or hold the meeting elsewhere.

    Keith can we use the conference room for this and future meetups? I think it is more conducive to our activities and more like the facilities that other meetups I have been to use.
