Review consensus

So, we need some consensus on how to proceed. We have two proposals right now, just sort of waiting for action.
Do we need to have scheduled public reviews -- in IRC or otherwise -- that impose some deadlines?
Should the admins simply give each proposal a one month lifespan and mark it rejected after that time?
How can we get things moving through the pipeline, so that Knight can start reviewing?

I think an IRC session is a great idea. If there is general agreement that the proposals should move forward, then we should cut them loose to Knight.
I think so
So maybe a scheduled IRC session.
Once per month? Every two weeks? And in what channel? We used #drupal-dojo last time.

We are eagerly waiting
We are very excited about this process and eager to see what the Drupal community recommendations are.
Please let us know if you want us to participate in the next IRC session. Cheers!

I think that once a month,
I think that once a month, as needed, should be plenty provided we don't end up having a huge increase in applications. if #drupal-dojo is available, why not use it again?
Monthly IRC meetings sound good to me
If we are to make a formal decision there stakeholders should have a chance to have an explicit say ahead of time. Ideally this should be a process of ratifying the apparent conclusion of the proposal threads here.
And I think it would be very good to have Jose and possibly others from Knight participate, especially in the first meeting.

Schedule?
And ideas as to the schedule?
Perhaps we do something like this, so that everyone knows the process:
-- Open submissions (enter at any time).
-- First Tuesday of the month, introduction of new submissions via IRC.
-- Fourth Tuesday of the month, community review of submissions via IRC, with recommendations.
This would put us on a schedule to review and pass off new ideas to Knight each month.

I like Ken's idea for schedule. Who would do the introduction of new submssions? Would it be the proposal submittor?
Is this going to be the schedule?
The first Tuesday of July is tomorrow -- is this meeting going to happen?
If it is going to take place, I can shift my schedule around to make most times during the workday (Pacific Time) -- this assumes, of course, that applicants would have a role to play in these discussions, and I don't know if this fits with how people envision the review process.
If there is anything I can do to help with this, please let me know.

Bill

Schedule
Hi,
I'm also available tomorrow.
Best regards,
Nick
My day probably wouldn't
My day probably wouldn't allow for a meeting today. I will need to schedule them out by a few weeks once we finalize the schedule.
polls?
we could poll the community re: most useful proposals. but maybe that would just lead to bad things like competition for votes ;)
Missed time
Maybe we just have community open discussions once per month, just to be transparent about the process. We can 'vote' on existing proposals and review new ones.
I nominate next Thursday, July 10th at 15:00 EDT (I think that's 19:00 UTC).

I will try and make it.
I will try and make it. I'll be in Denmark, but that is late enough that provided I have a stable Internet connection, things should be dandy.
