If you weren't at the a2Drupal meeting on Monday, you missed the announcement. Mike Hofmockel and family will be moving about 500 miles away to Ames, Iowa shortly as his wife had been offered and has accepted a faculty position at Iowa State University.
This is bittersweet for a2Drupal as our founding member will be leaving Ann Arbor. We will certainly miss him in our meetings. But all is not lost for the greater Drupal community or for a2Drupal. He is already working on helping to re-kindle the Ames Drupal User's group, and while we haven't figured out all of the details yet, he and I are exploring ways that our two groups can work together.
As he indicated on Monday, both Mike Monan and I will be assuming the leadership reins of a2Drupal. We both hope to do as good a job as Mike Hofmockel has done, and hopefully we can continue to help the group grow!
To Mike: best wishes to you and your family, and we all hope you enjoy Ames! You (and your beer) will be sorely missed out here and we hope you keep coming back to visit!

Mike Hofmockel presented Eric J. Klooster, a representative of the Ann Arbor Public Library, two books that a2Drupal donated at our 1 year anniversary celebration

Thanks A2Drupal!
When I started this, I thought this would be a great way for me to contribute to the Drupal project. I didn't realize that I would get more than I gave.
Thanks to all who have given:
Sharing can be risky in the short-term but not sharing is fatal in the long-term. Even questions are contributions. Finding someone who has had the same problem as you is wonderful needed confirmation that you are not crazy/stupid/alone. The only thing better is finding an answer attached.
I always sign my emails with this tag line "Open Source | Open Access | Open Mind".
Open Source - Those that don't freely share their ideas, usually don't have many ideas.
Open Access - Blocking access to knowledge only serves those that already have access.
Open Mind - "adaptability = longevity" - Live long and prosper!
I'm not gone, just shifting time zones.
