Meet up notes...
It was a rocking good time with 13 attendees and a very diverse group from ninjas to beginners. There were people from the local universtiy, local media groups, independent hackers, and from local web desgin/development companies. Below are the various notes, links, and discussion items mentioned.
-=General Group Interests=-
Non Profit, Multimedia, Social Networking, General Drupal development, Getting started with Drupal
-=Primary topics=-
Where should we have these meetings (Central Illinois is a pretty large region)?
-Prime other locations would be Peoria or Bloomington
-Created a poll to see how many people would attend based on location
What should the meeting format/agenda be?
-It seemed people were generally cool with the idea of having a short presentation/program to start with.
--This is something that could be decided on within online discussions here and/or at the end of each meeting
-After the short presentation/program everyone is free to break out for more Birds of Feather (BoF)
-The meeting ends with everyone getting back together to highlight anything and plan the next meeting
-Created a wiki page to put together an agenda for presentations/programs and BoF topics
There was also mention of having a monthly Chambana lunch
-To make things simple, I would propose doing this the same day as the monthly evening meet up... what do you think?
-=Presentations=-
KarenS did great presentation on CCK and Views within a Drupal 6 site site.
