October 2008 Meeting: Flex & PHP
Join us at 6:30pm on Thursday October 16, 2008 at Workspace (note, different location this month) for the Vancouver League of Drupalers October meeting. This month's feature presentation: Flex and PHP with Duane Nickull from Adobe.
We still have a slot available for a mini-case study if someone wants to volunteer.

Flex & PHP
The usage of Flex with Drupal isn't common, but the two aren't strangers, either. A number of shops are using Flex to solve user interface problems. And interest could increase with Adobe's plans to move Flex developement to the open source model. Duane Nickull from Adobe will give a developer's overview of using Flex from PHP.
This isn't a Drupal specific presentation and will deal only with Flex and PHP.

Hi folks, I'd like to get out and meet fellow drupal freelancers but am in a class until 7pm at VCC. Was wondering how long the meeting lasts at Workspace and/or if the follow up destination is known in case I can't get there in time.

Meetings usually go to till 8/8:30. No regular after-meeting venue, though it typically turns out being Irish Heather or Six Acres.
I have presenter's permission to video the session. Barring bad luck you should be able to catch on blip.tv if you arrive after the session.
