Post-mortem meeting to discuss how the camp went and what we could change for next year.
If there is any administrivia relating to creating the local Drupal association we could deal with that too.

Hello everyone,

Here are my notes from last night's meeting. Please correct or adjust them as you see fit.

General

  • Budget: public already as a googledoc. Will be announced formally once sponsorship payments have been collected.
  • Video: Suzanne to secure vimeo account, Andrew to upload.
  • Next association meeting/meetup Thurs Oct. 20th, 6pm/6:30pm at Notman House. EW to book.

Suggestions For DrupalCamp 2012

  • ask for languages understood at sign-up
  • translate session descriptions ahead of voting
  • pay a content translator
  • advance payment
  • session voting
  • have a photographer
  • some one should be identified to lead promotion
  • more focus on the francophone community
  • more focus on the student community
  • more focus on NGOs
  • promote at PHP Quebec, CONFU, WordCamp, BarCamp, SATT
  • develop list of local companies using Drupal
  • bigger push for volunteers, translation included among volunteer tasks

Suggestions For Association Activities Outside of DrupalCamp

  • more effort in translation year round
  • monthly meetups/drupal drinks/trivia nights
  • 2 code sprints a year, 1 associated with camp
  • General assembly to be held sooner rather than later (after a couple of meetups to increase membership and community awareness)
