Making this a sticky post for a bit. What do you think of this specific comment: http://groups.drupal.org/comment/reply/172434/595064, that argues for a 'Advanced content creator' role?

And here's a companion wiki

I agree with Jay on this,

I agree with Jay on this, Roy. I have built Drupal sites, though I do not (yet) program. I have built simple Views, am learning to theme with Fusion and Skinr, so am in the mix, not quite as advanced as Jay's example, however moving in that direction. I'll repeat this reply in the thread.

Best, Marilyn

I also agree with Jay ... and Marilyn

The role of "Advanced content creator" is one I need to play at different depths on different days -- depending on the specific task, I range from fairly equipped to fairly baffled. I'm not a programmer or themer, not even a front-end developer ... but I deal with a lot of volatile content that is constantly requiring new variations. A lot of what's required seems like work simple enough for me to do on my own, but I've chewed up a lot of my time and my support programmers' patience learning what I need from them in dribs and drabs because I've not been able to find this kind of information presented systematically anywhere.

Finally know what I am! :)

I never know quite how to describe what involvement I have with Drupal, but Advanced Content Creator may be the closest I have heard so far. I managed a Drupal website for 4 years. In that time, I learned to do a lot with Drupal. I have also put together a couple of small websites on Drupal Gardens and am actively learning more Drupal development, including a little bit of programming and theming. Like Marilyn and Jay, I can't call myself a programmer, developer or themer, but I am more than a content manager.
