Do we want to try and do something at Bar Camp 4 (On Sat. the 14th from 9-9)? I know it is incredibly short notice, and many people may not want to miss that day of SxSWi, but I think it may be a nice change of pace to see tech from across the board, and try and squeeze in a Drupal presentation.
The event is free to anyone, and is always a good time. So even if we decide on a meeting "proper" later in the month, I would still encourage people to check it out. The location this year is:
311 East 5th Street,
Austin, TX 78701
I'm a bit behind in announcing it, but we do have the Terrazas Branch library reserved for the last Wednesday of the month, March 25th. I've reserved the last Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:45PM for the next several months. I'll post an official meeting announcement shortly.
That said, please don't let that stop anyone from organizing, attending, or presenting at Bar Camp or SXSW.
The Open Media Project is a drupal-based project. And we at channelAustin are a beta site for its implementation.
Maybe we could do something from the Austin Drupal Group back-to-back with the Open Media Project -- i.e. either before or after the OM presentation -- to have a larger block of drupal-focused content.
Denver folks are going to give me their open times, and I'll be at BarCamp at 9:00 AM to sign up. (I'm not seeing anyone signing up for slots online).
At this point I'm really not sure. I half feel like something should be said, but at the same time, I think most of the people in the room will know what Drupal is, so an introduction/overview would be boring and overkill. I'm scratching my head trying to think of interesting topics. A live mashup would be kind of neat. Just showing how to leverage Drupal to accomplish something, without any code, in the time of one presentation. A sort of "lets see what she can do" thing. I don't know...
Ideas anyone, and is anyone planning on attending? We should arrange to get together.
As an aside, Facebook is hosting a free (no badge required) Developer Garage on Sunday. I know it's not exactly Drupal related, but I know many in the group, like myself, have an interest in social networks and their integration/construction. I think this would be very informative and fun.

Good stuff - I'll definitely be at the March meet up.
Also, I guess I'll just look for people at Bar Camp 4. I'll also be attending SXSWi so will be in and out.

Open Media Project at BarCamp
Hi Rho, What did you have in mind?
I'm going to be coordinating with the folks from Denver Open Media to do a presentation about the Open Media Project at Bar Camp 4.
The Open Media Project is a drupal-based project. And we at channelAustin are a beta site for its implementation.
