Group Manager
I'm proposing that we move the manager position to another active member in our group. It may even be a good idea to have multiple managers to keep things moving along if the other is busy. There are some cool things that can be done on these group sites and without an active Manager we can't really take advantage of this.
I've contacted the admin's of g.d.o and he's asked me to post on our group and see if the group agrees on a manager. I enjoy doing stuff like this and feel that we're really missing out on some of the functionality of this site. (to see some examples check out other groups like the Drupal in Education group). Everyone let me know your thoughts on this. I'd be open to having more than one person with admin rights, or if someone else thinks that they're more fit to take over the manager title then that's fine also.

Sounds good to me.
My intention here is not to "change" the group but for us to merely have more control over the way our Group Page is displayed when we go to g.d.o/utah. Also, I'm not jumping out and saying that I'm the best person to do this—just saying that we need someone that's more active to act as manager. Maybe we can discuss that as well.
Also, there can be multiple administrators in a group (at least I believe that's the case) so if there are others that would like to jump in and manage things then we could do that as well.

There wasn't anything specific really. I just wanted to make sure the group home page didn't go ugly as I've seen other groups. My primarily complaint is people create groups with way too many tabs -- simplicity is golden.

I'm all about simplicity. I also, like I said, be open to getting more than one admin to manage the set-up of our groups page. I agree that simplicity is golden, so when/if this happens then we can have a topic dedicated to discussing this.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. amariotti is now the group manager.
Andrew - you should consider making a few other folks "admins" of the group to help avoid this problem in the future.
