Dale has mentioned a couple times at meetups that he has been in the beginning stages of planning something... I think he was originally saying May, but now late summer was last I heard (?) that's about all I know!
I would be interested in attending.
Please post info when it is available, so that we can plan.

A little reminder
This is not directed at @Rocksoup by any means, but since there have been a lot of people asking around about whether there will be a DrupalCamp this year, I feel compelled to say:
As far as I know, both DaveO and I are not available to organize another DrupalCamp this year - Dale has mentioned a couple times that he has plans to do something but I haven't heard anything concrete. But we are all just volunteers - last year's DrupalCamp was not hosted by any companies (other than our lovely sponsors whose contributions we dearly appreciated!). It happened because three people decided they wanted to make it happen.
So... to all those who really want there to be another DrupalCamp this year, step up and start organizing it! Chances are things would get rolling much faster if Dale had a team of helpers ready to go, or even someone else taking the lead - there's no rule saying that he has to spearhead planning (that is assuming he's still planning to help out in the first place, I know he's a busy guy!).
It's a lot of work putting these things together, so grab your Drupal friends and rally together - don't wait for DrupalCamp to come to you, if you really want there to be another one this year, make it happen!
I'm new
I'm new to Drupal, and wouldn't be qualified to plan a DrupalCamp. However is someone who attended last year was working on it, I would be willing to help.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for an answer as to whether or not this might happen. Sounds like there is not much movement towards that up there yet.
One of the reasons I was asking, besides looking for an excuse to visit your fair city, is because I am interested in throwing some time at getting a little Drupal event going down here in Seattle later this year. Maybe if there is no Drupal Camp Vancouver some of the folks up there might be interested in presenting or helping organize something like that down here? Maybe some of the Victoria keeners too?

Yeah @RockSoup - not much movement as you say. I'm not sure if it's going to happen at this point, and am looking at possibly going down to the Portland camp at the end of August. Keep us posted if you start pulling something together for Seattle, and maybe the Vancouverites can pool resources with you and make it a Pacific NW Drupalcamp. ;-)
Again - my comments, not directed at anyone specific, just a reminder to the group at large (as there have been a lot of people asking around the last couple months) that these events only come together because one (or a few) people take the initiative.
I had never organized any camps before last year - in fact I hadn't organized ANY Drupal events! I had attended one camp two years previous in Seattle, and attended the monthly meetups, but basically decided it'd be great to make one happen in Van and that it was about time I gave something back to the community (not being a dev, it was a good way for me to give back). Anyone can take the lead, don't be afraid to step up to bat!

Pacific NW Drupal Event
At this last month's Seattle Drupal User Group meeting I suggested the idea of a regional drupal event here in Seattle around late October. We are still talking about some of the logistics, but you can expect some more information soon. I will cross post to PDX, Seattle and Vancouver.

ah great jared - definitely keep us posted - there have been rumblings of vancouver's barcamp being the first weekend in october, so later in the month might be better for us - i'll let you know if any dates get solidified. thanks for following up on this!
