User group meeting
Enjoy a beautiful ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island for the first B.I. Drupal meetup. It will be at OfficeXpats, a coworking space and conference center that is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Here's the schedule:
- Come as early as you'd like and enjoy free coworking all day (courtesy of Drupal Jobs and Barn Door Productions).
- From 4:30 to 5:30, we can join the weekly OfficeXpats member happy hour.
- The meeting will run from 6:30 to 8:00.
- After the meeting, we will adjourn to the Harbour Public House for further socializing and Drupal talk. (drinks on Drupal Jobs and Barn Door Productions)
If you have an item you would like to add to the agenda, please include it in a comment below.
Resources:
- Bainbridge ferry schedule - NOTE: To arrive in time for the meetup at 6:30, walk or bike (to skip the rush-hour car lineup and higher fares) onto the ferry by 5:30 at the latest (see schedule for earlier sailings). Crossing takes 35 minutes. Fare for peds and cyclists is $7.50 to come to Bainbridge. Returning to Seattle is free without a car and saves almost $30 in fares.
- Directions from the B.I. ferry terminal to OfficeXpats

Sounds like a fun day, hopefully there in time for lunch
Any suggestions on side-trips for wife+infant while I'm nerding away? Figure the more fun stuff for them to see/smell/explore the more time I get.
Battle Point Park
Depends on the age of your infant and the weather but my 2 year old really enjoys Battle Point Park most days.

There is also a children's museum that my daughter loves ( http://www.kidimu.org/ ) but they close at 4pm, I think.
Hope that helps a little

More stuff to do
There's a good bookstore in downtown Winslow. Lots of coffee shops. Mora's ice cream shop, while pricey, is exquisite. There's a movie theater in the same building as the meeting. If you're bringing a car, downtown Poulsbo (15 minute drive) has a fun u-paint pottery store (Dancing Brush), another bookstore, another coffeeshop, and a place that makes enormous donuts.
In general, people seem to be able to spend a lot of time browsing through downtown Winslow.
Man, this would be so much
Man, this would be so much easier for me to attend, however it's the day my daughters are both going to be in a dance rehearsal.
Argh, no can do
Just spotted this, I'll still be in the Midwest that day, not back until the weekend. :((
Next time. (A little more advance notice please).
cheers,
@brian
You'll be missed
Brian: Sorry to hear you can't make it. We would've given more advance notice, but the summer schedules of the three of us who planned this (just a week and a half ago) were looking so hectic, we decided to jump in quickly and see who shows up. Hope to see you soon!

Can't make it tonight
The work gods have smitten me with a load of work and a new due date of tomorrow. So I can't make it tonight.
I did however show up yesterday having noted the wrong date, if that counts.
Please do this again - I live in Poulsbo and work in Seattle and would like to attend future events.

Hopefully one of these will help you get your aegir install up and running and useful. It's a great tool if you're doing multiple site management, especially if you're interested in a safe way to test updating custom modules, features, community modules or core.
