About io/LA

Created by entertainment and technology trailblazers, io/LA is a lively and social destination where creatives and tech pioneers connect. Hollywood and Silicon Valley converge; new synergies lead to new businesses. Are you a traditional content producer? io/LA is your avenue to new media. A tech innovator? io/LA is your access to LA creative. Any time you like.

Located on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame, io/LA houses three distinct yet related spaces—a cafe that’s open to the public, an expansive co-share workspace available to members, and our incubator—the space designated for selected projects that are funded and mentored by io/LA.

Drupal After Dark

After we finish the tour, a group of us might go to a nearby restaurant or pub to talk.

I am out for the visit. Unfortunately I have paid business that is going to be taking me to the Inland Empire tomorrow. There is the outside chance that I will finish quickly and can make it back to Hollywood, but I will text about that if possible.

Sorry about the yes and then no...

Good news, DrupalCampers.

Good news, DrupalCampers. During Friday's open conference call, we unanimously decided to go forward with io/LA. We're booking the venue for 3 days of awesome on October 12, 13 & 14.

With io/LA's focus on tech, its affinity with Droplabs as a coworking space and business accelerator, and its location in a vibrant corner of Hollywood with shops, restaurants and hotels, we feel this is a good fit for the event.

Much work has already been done but there's much left to do between now and October, 2012. We hope that anyone interested in joining forces will be part of the upcoming planning meetings and website sprints.

Stay tuned to http://groups.drupal.org/dtla and http://ddcla.org for news. We'll also be discussing next steps at the Downtown Los Angeles Drupal meetup this Tuesday: http://groups.drupal.org/node/232433
