The site is up!

Direct all your friends and relatives to drupaldelphia.com! Thanks to Mason for the great theme.

When Jody, Howard, Mason and I met on Monday, we took a lot of cues for the site from the Design4Drupal and DrupalCamp Colorado sites. What else do we need to add to the site in the way of content? Some things I know we need:

  • More details on the venue. I have this in an email, so I just need to add this.
  • Directions, parking, etc. I can figure some of this out myself, but anyone from Drexel could be useful on recommending places to park.
  • Cost -- did we decide once and for all what we would be charging people? I can imagine a lot of people getting to the site and thinking "so...what does this cost?" and I think we should put something up there about this soon.
  • More details on the schedule. I think we can put up the general outline even before we have the sessions -- things like start and end times, lunch time, after-party time, etc. I don't have notes from our last meeting (at Cosi) so I don't remember if we decided any of those general items.

I'll volunteer myself to add content-oriented things to the site, so you can post them here or contact me and I'll add them. I also set up a Twitter account @drupaldelphia, so please add that if you're on Twitter and retweet the announcements on there. If others want to help post to that account, I can send you the info.

Finally, please add sessions! And if you don't feel up to hosting a session but there's a topic you want to see covered, please post it in the forum. There's also a spot to sign up as a volunteer.

In decidedly less-exciting news, I've added a vocabulary item for Philly DrupalCamp Summer 2009. If you want to go back and tag any posts in the last couple of weeks that you've made about this, they'll start showing up in the "group categories" at right.

The site looks awesome! Thanks to everyone who helped out. However it seems like Clean URLs aren't working.

I get a 404 if I go to http://www.drupaldelphia.com/schedule yet can get to http://www.drupaldelphia.com/?q=schedule

Sorry I couldn't make it last night but I'm happy to help out if you need me to.
Thanks!
steve

Great Site - Small Issue

Great site you all. I am so bummed I'm going to be in LA on 7/31.

Two small things regarding, "Register to attend" link in top right.

  1. The link should be to /user/register (right now it goes to /user)
  2. The word "Register" means two things: create an account AND sign up to come to the conference. The help text "Register to attend" sounds like it means registering to come for the conference, but the link takes you to register a user account at the site. That's confusing. I'm sure y'all were probably trying to avoid a home page that was too wordy with help-text, but as it stands its confusing.

Again, awesome site; I'm certain a lot of people will come. I wish I were one.

More venue information

The site looks great!

Here's some more information about the venue etc:

The address is:
W. W. Hagerty Library
Drexel University
33rd and Market Streets
Philadelphia, PA
19104

I can't speak to cost, but the venue will not be contributing to the expense for the camp, so there's that. I know food and shirts are an expense right now.

Please let me know if you need any more Drexel-specific information and I'll be happy to oblige. :)
