Should we remove job listings from the center column of this group?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Job postings on group's page...

Hey folks,

As much as I'm thrilled that there are so many employment opportunities for Drupalers I also feel that job postings have tended to swamp the main listing in this group.

Im not sure whether we'd need to request some assistance but I'd like to remove them from the center column thus leaving the space for more technical or community-building posts. Note that it is redundant now anyway as there is a block for listing the jobs.

How do the rest of you feel about this?

I had another idea, which was to change that "featured" block to only show the most recent "event" post, rather than any old post. I went ahead and made that change (but feel free to move it back if you want). That will hopefully help with us having to do stupid stuff like leave past events stickied just to avoid job postings showing up in a "featured" block. :P

For jobs specifically, we could use a similar approach to move Jobs to their own list on the right or something. But I don't think there's a way to make another teaser list thing of things that are not jobs. Hrm.

Anyway, hopefully this is a little better. :)
