Last saturday Alan and I went down to the BarCamp South East in Waterford. We did a presentation of Drupal, Alan went through the benefits of Drupal for a website, and I showed how to install Drupal 5 in couple of minutes.
Other topics of the day included "Idiots guide to Ruby on Rails, Django, Turbogears and other assorted newfangled frameworks" by Aidan Finn, Wordpress.com by Donncha O Caoimh, podcasting in Ireland, how to raise or not to raise money to start your company, building a webservice community, and more interesting topics.
All the talks were recorded and should be available online soon.
They spoilt us during the whole day with very nice pastries, fresh fruits, tea, coffee, sandwiches and a delicious soup for lunch!
Thanks to Keith Bohanna for organizing this great event.
I wish I could have stayed longer. Looking forward to the next BarCamp in May.
