The August DC Drupal meetup will take place on Monday, August 10th at 7:00 pm at Stetson's. We'll get things going officially around 7:30, starting with a round of introductions so we can all get to know each other, followed by a round of 5 minute lightning talks.
Lightning talks are your chance to discuss a Drupal module, ask a question you have about Drupal to the group, show off a new site that you built, or talk about anything else Drupal related. The only rules are that you have to keep it short - 5 minutes or less - and keep it so that everyone can follow along no matter how often they code with Drupal. If you'd like to give a talk, post it in the comments and/or speak up at the meetup.
Don't be shy if you're just starting or thinking about starting with Drupal. The meetups are a great way to learn and meet people who've been in your place before.

The person who used to record our meetups sadly moved to Boston, but if someone volunteers we'd love to get that going again. We'll ask around to see if we can get that going.

I've seen details on Managing News and was glad to hear about your Knight Foundation grant. Can't wait to see the public release. But so far with tatler I've only seen the short teasers. But while it sounds interesting also, I think it may be hitting a diff piece of the niche.
I still have approx 100 tabs in my browser that I still have to read. If I spot the post again, I'll let you know.

I never did run across the post where someone thought you now worked for Acquia, But I do think I may have stumbled over the reason they thought so. I just watched a webinar on Acquia's site on Workflow and it ended with saying how you were now part of their team(or some such language). My guess is that it's because DevSeed & Acquia are partners and they may have thought it was because you were an employee.
