extra help?
I can actually make it to the meeting! I'm hoping to find someone there who might be willing to give me a little personal help setting up. Still haven't gotten it right, since Drupal Camp. If not actually at the meeting, then could meet again another time with someone.

What sort of help do you need?
What sort of help do you need? Just with getting Drupal installed or getting a development environment setup? This will be a good meeting for help in that area since we will be touching on development setups a little bit.
development
I have it installed, just not set up the way I want, for development.

The meet-ups are pretty
The meet-ups are pretty relaxed so definitely bring questions.
This might be useful. This is a list of some modules I currently use for development:
A useful module that Blake has pointed out to me, but I haven't dug into it yet:
- Chaos tool suite (http://drupal.org/project/ctools)
For a really good book that explains the details of most of these modules (and Drupal development in general): http://www.drupalbook.com/code-drupal-like-a-pro
I highly, highly recommend that book for any Drupal developer (themes or modules). Also, if you want to get into more of the JavaScript side of things, this book is really helpful too: http://www.packtpub.com/drupal-6-javascript-and-jquery/book/mid/270509jt...
Modules that any serious Drupal 5 or 6 site should be using:
The documentation that is linked to on those modules has gotten very good. There are tons of videos about them at http://drupalcampwi.com in case you missed some of the sessions.
Thanks - I do have some of
Thanks - I do have some of those already. I'll have to check out the others.
I'm also wanting to set up for multi-site, like RobAlex. I had already been to the different pages that describe the multi-site configuration, but I guess since I'm new, I'm not understanding whether it will do what I want. Or even - how to set it up properly. I see that it allows for me to have mulitple sites, like a company with different sites for each department. But I'm not sure if it will do further - I'd like to have one setup for myself - modules, multiple databases, etc., and be able to build sites for many different clients with my one setup. Like that company with the different departments AND the rock band site AND the restaurant site AND the women's outdoor club site... etc. And that they can edit their sites on their own, with their own sign-in's.
Hopefully I'm explaining what I'm thinking, coherently. Any guidance I could get on this tonight, or a future meet-up with someone, would be greatly appreciated. I'm ready to dive in and start building but this is holding me back! :-)
THanks,
-Skygal
Indeed
That's definitely possible... In fact it's even a bit more flexible than that.
The Open Atrium demo I have set up on my VPS is using multisites. I'll try and touch on this during the OA demo...
What development server configurations should I cover?
I would like to know what sort of development environment people would like me to cover when I demo xdebug. If you want me to run through a specific setup, let me know.
My plan is to show how to get MAMP on OS X running xdebug with a stand-alone OS X PHP debugger client called MacGDBp. I could also run through an XP setup with WAMP. I want to mention the IDEs out there, but I don't have plans to demo them just because I don't currently use one. However, if some really wants an IDE to be demoed, I'm willing to run through at least one.
I'll watch this thread and if nobody has a preference, then I will just stick to what I have planned.
Of course, that is if Open Atrium doesn't steal the show (which I think it could). IMHO, I think it is one of the biggest things to happen to Drupal since Views/CCK.
Multi site
Would be interested in getting the lowdown on multisite installation - one code set, more than one database. I'm using XAMPP.
Multi-site, its applications, and the OG alternative
I think the comment subject would be a good topic for a future meetup. What sort of use-case do you have in mind for a multi-site install? It's fairly simple to setup, but a good discussion on the pros and cons would be a nice thing to cover.
I found this in the handbooks (the information looks a little dated): http://drupal.org/node/43816
The demo of Open Atrium will show a good example of a "multisite" type use-case using the Organic Groups module (OG).

My slides for the xDebug presentation
Here are the slides I'm going to be running through as an introduction to xDebug. These will be useful because of the links they contain.
So, download them now or after the discussion if you want to visit some of the sites I'll be discussing.
