Meetup locations...

Why have all the meetups been in Miami?

For those of you in Palm Beach and Broward Counties and beyond, I'm sure you would much prefer to hold meetups much closer to home. So why haven't we held our meetups there?

The answer is quite simple: because no one has organized them there.

South Florida is the 6th largest metro area in the country and spans a 2 1/2 hour drive from one end to the other. Unfortunately, I live and work at the southern extreme (Palmetto Bay) and finding locations in Boca or Fort Lauderdale is quite the challenge. If anyone is interested in finding a location that has open wifi, food, cocktails, and a wall to handle a projector, please do.

I propose that we alternate monthly meetups between Miami-Dade and somewhere in Broward or Boca, so that we can better accommodate everyone.

I can't say enough great things about the dedicated folks form Orlando that are willing to do the drive to South Florida. I think a little commute within South Florida is not too much to ask.

Is anyone up for scouting locations for future meetups?
