From Ray: NYC has moved its
From Ray:
NYC has moved its next Camp to the week of Drupal’s birthday, January 15, just two weeks before our planned date.
Not set in stone
Just to clarify...Drupal's Birthday is January 15th. As I understand it the NYC camp is likely to be moved to mid-January, final date and venue as yet to be determined.

That's disappointing. I think
That's disappointing. I think our February date was well positioned. We were in between NYC (mid-December) and Drupalcon (Late March). I would recommend keeping our original date so that we remain consistent, predictable, and can easily obtain classroom reservations during Princeton's academic year break.
Drupalcon Portland is moved to May 20-14
I liked February too but with some of these changes we should have a conversation on how they might effect our planning and marketing effort. I would imagine later in the year would be more difficult for the University anyway?
Ray
How much leeway do we really have?
I'm guessing the driving factor is availability of space at Princeton. I also think it's a good thing to be consistent with our dates. Not all camps can know their dates well in advance. But if we can publish and hold our dates it makes getting speakers, sponsors and attendees a little easier.
We don't really have much
We don't really have much flexibility - if we want to use the academic space we need to hold it during intersession, and Feb 1/2 is the only Fri + Sat of intersession. The prior weekend is also during intersession, but that would be even closer. And, we announced our planned dates a couple months ago, so I'd hope the NYC group will be considerate in their planning.
Consensus on sticking to Feb 1/2
So I think we agree that sticking to Feb 1/2 is best. Let's focus then on what, if anything, we want to do differently given the shift in dates for the NYC DrupalCamp and DrupalCon. I'll check with Megan on when the DA expects to start accepting proposal submissions. We should again position ourselves as great prep for Drupalcon for sessions. And the NYC Camp will still be very good marketing for us. Maybe we can figure out a way to coordinate session selection/camp theme so as to complement rather than duplicate.

I dumped a basic landing page
I dumped a basic landing page for the camp site. Once we have additional info, I'll post it. Will also start working on cod7.
