Drupal has traditionally struggled in the area of native CRM, or Contact Relation Management, software. Proprietary web-based solutions like SalesForce and SugarCRM integrate with Drupal but are expensive, and CiviCRM, while powerful, is not native to Drupal and is purpose-built in ways that make it difficult to integrate into an existing Drupal installation.
