Hi,
I thought I'd ask about possible Drupal Fit plans for DrupalCon Portland 2013? I don't remember there being any Drupal Fit events at DrupalCon Denver 2012.
FWIW, I organized a 5K race at RailsConf Austin last year (I live in Austin), and it was a lot of fun - we had 88 participants, and it went really well. That was fairly involved, with t-shirts, a water stop, medical support, and a web page - I'd be happy if it was just "Meet at 7am in front of the hotel for a 3 mile run or run/walk on the loop around the river" without everything else.
Thanks!
Jeff Linwood

Sounds good
I'm up for a jogging meetup in any form. I'll be moving to Portland at the start of May, so I'll try to scope out some nice jogging or biking routes and then I'm hoping to convince some my co-workers to rent something like the Double Surrey at http://www.kerrbikes.org/KerrBikes/RatesHours.aspx to troll around the city a bit.
Soccer
I've seen some posts in local groups about soccer. As international as this group is, maybe we can find a field to hold a friendly match or practice.

Thanks for organizing the Rails 5k - I had a good time running in it. Let's definitely organize a very informal Drupalcon 5k.
How about Wednesday morning (say, 8:30am)? Any other takers? Route suggestions?

I'd be down for a run, if someone can loan me a shower afterward. Doing the loop around the bridges (Steel / Hawthorne) is a touch longer than 5k.

I'm in.
Training for the Tough Mudder in a couple of weeks. I better be able to run a 5k.

Excellent!
I think we'll have to meet earlier as @jefflinwood originall suggested, maybe 7:15am? I'm in the double tree and can definitely host a shower too.
I took a downtown route from a local running site and made a Google map for it over here: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=218145354235694145997.0004dd33524e3...
Cribbed from http://www.orrc.net/faveruns/eastEsplanade-Julia.pdf and https://www.walkjogrun.net/routes/current_route.cfm?rid=9F92EAE4-0B3E-93....
Sounds like what @twardnw was referring to as well.
How does that sound?
That's the route I was
That's the route I was thinking of :)
Though 7:15 is a bit early for me. It does depend a bit on if I spend the night at home or crash somewhere close by (I only live 20 minutes north of the convention center)

based on the fact I made it
based on the fact I made it home tonight, don't think I'll be back to the area in time for this in the morning.
