I have been meaning to do introduce myself for a little while. My name is Jamie and have been involved with drupal since i think mid novemeber. i attended the NYC Groups Drupal Camp (good stuff) and have been working to become a seasoned drupaler and to be able to use all of its capabilities. It is fascinating to me and i have become somewhat addicted to the process and the community. I wanted to try and see if any body would be interested in a meet up. My thoughts are to begin with an open discussion on what people individually are doing with drupal. The goal from this would be to gain knowledge and experience by feeding off of and brainstorming with others. There is nothing than face to face interaction every once in a while. So let me know if anybody is interested and i will set something up. I am thinking like someone's favorite coffee house or something.

I would definitely be interested in organizing something. I'm hopeful that if we can find a space, we can get a few people from NYC and DC (which both have active Drupal groups that I've been to) attend and maybe help present something. We should also advertise it on the Mid-Atlantic group.
Do you have any ideas on a space to meet? I live out in the suburbs and work for a nonprofit remotely (which is in DC) so I'm not going to be much help on that front.

I've been undertaking my first two drupal sites and I would be extremely interested in seeing how everyone else is using drupal so I can get some tips. I am willing to help out in anyway possible. I live in Philly and work downtown so I will be assessable to whatever anyone is planning!!! Let's get it started!!!

I'm interested as well. I currently organize the Phila Area PHP meetup and a number of group members are interested in Drupal. Until there are dedicated Drupal gatherings in the area, folks should definitely consider coming out to the PHP meetup -- I guarantee you'll find other drupalers at every gathering.

great to hear of the shared interest....well where does everybody live...like quixoticlife i live outside of the city right now, but willing and originally was thinking that it would be downtown somewhere...but with that...where is everybody from? weekend or week day? Week day would have to be in the evening for me... If it is in the city i have 2 places in mind. The COSI on head house row(2nd & Pine)...plenty of room and comfortable or the barnes and noble near U of P. Manyunk is also a good centerpoint. I tend to prefer a weekend as well. Your thoughts?
