Agenda

This month we will be discussing the integration of WYSIWYG editors and Drupal. Drupal has historically not included a WYSIWYG editor in the core package and due to the pluggable nature of the system there have been a number of different component “recipes” that have been developed and some that have been identified as “best practices”. The installation and configuration of a WYSIWYG editor in Drupal has notoriously been a complicated and often painful process. Please come and share your tips, trick and suggestions about the approaches you use when you build sites with WYSIWYG editors.

Ideas for presentations:

• Working with inline images
• Installing a WYSIWYG editor (CKEditor, TinyMCE, etc)
• Which toolbar buttons should you enable?
• How do WYSIWYG Profiles relate to Text Formats?
• Customized installations for specific client needs
• Adding new functionality to a WYSIWYG editor

We would love to have you speak! You do not need to present a polished presentation to contribute to the conversation. Even if you only have a question about a particular WYSIWYG-related issue, others probably have the same question and asking it will begin a useful discussion. As usual we will begin with introductions and we will also spend a little time talking about the upcoming DrupalCon and have some social time following presentations.
