Is anyone interested in coordinating some drupal camps this summer?

I'd love to...

I'd love to help out with a Drupal Camp in the Upper Midwest (since I flew out to the one in Seattle).

I know from previous barcamps that there is interest.

I posted this on my blog, and I'll cross-post in the Wisconsin and Chicago groups to see if anyone else is interested in helping make this happen.

Wisconsin(ish)

I'm on board with Blake.... I think we can make one happen in the Milwaukee/Madison area this summer.

I'm in the Twin Cities and would love to go. Is this a go? I could maybe do some presenting on Theming - I'm not a total theming guru but have some experience.

May in Toronto?

walkah is just barely going to be hitting the ground again after SF, but I believe DUG-TO are planning for a mid-May session.

Also: we need community presence at OSCON in Portland at the end of July!!!!! Doesn't need to be an entire Drupalcon, but a community-focused DrupalCamp would be good.....

After looking at the OSCON

After looking at the OSCON website, I am confident that I am definitely not technical or wealthy enough to attend...having said that, is there plans for a west coast DrupalCamp this summer? I've always wanted an excuse to see Portland... (But I would love to go back to Seattle, and Vancouver just makes it really easy!) Boris--any insider info?

Only if there is smores and campfire songs. ;)

Actually I would probably hit up a eastern based one (NY area possibly).

DrupalCamp: Szeged

kvantomme's picture

Anybody interested in a DrupalCamp in Szeged, Hungary in September? Would be an opportunity to meet developers/designers in Central and Eastern Europe.

Combined with DrupalCon in Barcelona you could see a nice bit of Europe ;)

If you plan to organize one, it would be very good. I love Szeged! Maybe start a topic for this at drupal.hu?!

I threw this on the developer list and there was not much interest. So the idea got a bit lower on my priority list. Do you think there would be interest in Budapest?

Drupal Camp Wisconsin planners...

blakehall's picture

I've set up a wiki (using the drupal wiki install profile) at drupalcamp.blakehall.org so we can start planning.

I'll ping interested parties by email...

Let's get this thing rolling.

Awesome!

WineCamp France! June 15-17

smokinggoat's picture

Not quite Drupal Camp, but last year's WineCamp Calaveras was strongly attended by Drupal developers. This year, in France, it looks like we'll have a strong European BarCamp / open source contingent, and we'll be de facto dealing with a of i18n issues; and the proximity to Switzerland should bring representatives from international humanitarian organizations.

What the hell is WineCamp? Open-source and Web2.0 developers meet nonproft and social benefit organizations, outdoors / camping style - and probably work in several different languages. (With English fairly widely spoken).

For more information, visit the WineCamp France wiki, and keep an eye on the official WineCampFrance website.
