Because of travel, I have not been able to go to the last two Austin Drupal get togethers. I am very interested in learning a little bit more about Drupal- I have a demo site that I have set up, but now need some help on taking Organic Groups to the next level.
I am wondering if anyone is available / interested in getting together this next week for an unofficial get together, again at the Dog and Duck, at 7 pm on Tuesday 5/15/07.
If there are at least a couple of people that can join in, I would enjoy getting together with you.
What I am working on:

a project for my bootstrapped company Enterprise Teaming. I am considering using Drupal to replace an existing Joomla installation. Before I make the decision, I want to explore Drupal a little bit more... I have put together my own site (hidden url right now) but it feels like I should work a bit more on this before making the leap. I would like to work on this one first.

A project for the Central Texas Red Cross. I am on the Strategic IT Committee for the Red Cross here in Austin. As you might or might not know, not much technology (at least the way that those of us that use the web would think) was used in the response to Katrina. As a volunteer I have been helping shift the expectations of what is possible using opensource tech... specifically Drupal. In the case of the next huricane, I would like to see that the local Red Cross is armed with good tools for coordinating thousands of volunteers... I just need some support in pulling the right site together.
I need help with both projects. My belief is that if I am able to figure out #1, #2 should be pretty straight forward.
I have already implemented the CCK and a bunch of other modules... I just need to talk with someone that has a much stronger hold on OG (organic groups) and general Drupal usage.
Is anyone else available to meet this Tuesday evening?
If so,please let me know. I would like to coordinate / confirm directly with whomever is interested in joining me. I will only be showing up in the case that someone does confirm with me that they can get together.

Please keep me posted via my contact link if you're able to set something up for 5/15 with anyone knowledgeable about organic groups (OG). I will donate an ICE COLD BEER to anyone that can show me a few things about OG. :) (I'm hoping the words ICE COLD BEER will get someone's attention! LOL)
I'm forcing myself to learn OG real quick as I plan on presenting for 10-15 minutes at the 6/6 Austin meetup, so anything at this point helps. :)

Anyone more technical able to join in?
I have gotten a couple of replies from others that have been interested in getting together this next Tuesday at 7 pm at the Dog and Duck- but all of us sound like we are still pretty new at Drupal.
Anyone else available by chance that has greater insight to Organic Groups? Please let me know. It sounds like we now have a small team available, but still looking for somone that has some greater insight.
