Hello guys.
I am going to be spending more time actively promoting Drupal in South Africa again, and to that end I am going to be organizing a DrupalCamp in johannesburg , mid july 2007.
This course is going to be significantly different from the previous course, due to the wealth of training materials having been produced since the previous course took place.
I would also like to organize 2 drupal meet ups. One in cape town, say around the 7th of June. And one in johannesburg on around the 7th of july.
Is anybody keen on attending any of these. Once I have some confirmation I will create the necessary events.

Training Johannesburg
Hi,
Has this training happened as yet, I am very new to drupal, have managed to put together on site and working on another one.
What would be covered in this training and what skill levels are required? When are you having another one?

Another vote for Joburg meetup
I'd also really like to get together with fellow drupalers in Joburg sometime. Adrian are you still planning something? If not, maybe we should take this into our own hands and get something going? Any suggestions?

to johannesburg as I'd hoped to find (i've only been there twice this year)

Hey Adrian - over what dates in december will you be in joburg?
From my side, I've been using drupal for about 2-3 years and am now totally hooked, and becoming quite passionate about it. I would be really interested in getting to know other drupalers in SA (joburg in particular) so that we can share our drupal experiences, connect with people who we could develop working relationships with (I am often looking for drupal developers to outsource work to), and also to help people new to drupal get off to a quicker start (it seems the lack of drupal developers is a problem).
I've never been to a meetup before, so don't know the kind of format or planning it takes, but I'd be happy to help wherever possible. Adrian, if you've got any advice on this, let us know how best to go about arranging this kind of thing.
I'm certainly no drupal guru(eish, not by a long shot!), but I'm sure that everyone, even a beginner has something unique and valuable to contribute to the drupal community, so let's see if we can get something going :)
Meetup in Joburg early 2008
OK - I'm REALLY keen to meet up with anyone in joburg that's interested - even if there's no real agenda and it's just to kick start some kind of joburg drupal meetups. Even if only one person is interested. If you're in Joburg, we could initially meet at a coffee shop, or at my place (paulshof, close to rivonia and fourways), depending on how many are interested.
So, let me know in the comments if you're keen, and we can set up a venue, date and time.

Social Media Efficiency
I might keen, and know one or two people who might want to too. Have you considered starting a group on facebook or something? Easily create events and manage attendees that way (barring non-facebook members of course.. :/)
