The first Washington, DC Drupal meetup of the year will be on Monday, January 11 starting at 7:00 pm at Stetson's Bar and Grill. These meetups are a great chance to talk with other Drupal developers, learn more about the websites being built with Drupal, and get a better understanding of the open source framework and the community.
We'll follow our usual format and have introductions at 7:30, followed by a round of 5 minute lightning talks. This is a chance for anyone to take the floor and talk - for 5 minutes or less - about something they're working on - a module, a website, or anything Drupal related. If you want to present, please speak up! Post about it in the comments and we'll add you to the meetup announcement, and of course come ready to talk.

After the Deadline
I'd like to talk about the work we're doing with After the Deadline. We've integrated it into all of our Drupal sites and plan to release the module shortly.
Presenting
I'd love to present the site I launched a few weeks ago for the Center for Democracy and Technology, cdt.org. Among other things, we're an internet privacy advocacy org, so keeping our site friendly to privacy hawks was a big challenge I'd enjoy sharing.
