When reviewing a piece of content for the new Drupal redesign, we want to look at the following elements:
- Keyword research - using the content and the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, decide what keywords you are going to target for a particular page
- Title tags - Ensure the target keywords are shown in the title tag. Keep the title under 66 characters including spaces if possible.
- Meta-Description - The target keywords should be included in the meta description. Keep the meta-description under 154 characters.
- Meta-Keywords - The target keywords should be included in the meta keywords. Refer to the process on Keyword Research
- Header Tags - Make sure the target keywords appear in the H1, H2, and H3 tags of the page.
- Alt tags - Ensure the target keywords are included in the alt tags for all pictures on the page.
- Content - Check to see if the target keywords are present in the content.
- < strong > tag - Make sure at least one of the target keywords is bolded
- URL Path - Check to see if the keywords are part of the page URL.
- Taxonomy - Ensure relevant categories and tags are used.
- Spelling and Grammar - The page content should not have any errors.
- Format - Check to see if the correct format is used (Full HTML, PHP Code, etc). Incorrect formats may not display certain HTML elements properly.

Please comment on anything you see that we need to add or delete! Remember, this is a process that details what elements that we need to look at when reviewing a piece of content. I will post processes soon that will go into more depth on how to do each of these steps.
Overlap with QA
There could be overlap with QA team's reviewing.
We'll have to ensure you and Joe Moraca (Redesign QA Lead) communicate so there's no duplication of effort :) I'll point him to this now...

URL and Title vs. H1
Since we will use pathauto module, the URL Path should be ok by default.
Will we use the page title module to create H1 tags seperately from the title tags? In the content we should use H2, H3 etc.
Regarding the Path Auto
Regarding the Path Auto module - you are entirely correct. Usually PathAuto's suggestions are correct, but I still would like to have our SEO team conscious of URLs and if needs be, overriding the suggestions if PathAuto does not have a good suggestion. I am most concerned with making sure that there is some sort of siloing taking place and that not all nodes exist at the highest level.
I agree, I think having the option of the Page Title module to create H1 tags separately from title tags would be helpful. In some cases, a title just doesn't translate well into a header.
I'll keep both of these issues in mind when working on some processes.
PathAuto module
Looking at the Analytics data we see some duplicate content happening due to URLs using both Upper and lower case chracters. When configuring the PathAuto module we have to make sure the module sets everything to lower case.
