Anyone out there use Search Files module?

I've been trying to use Search Files module to index pdfs on my website. So far I haven't got it to work. I think I may have the directory path wrong. My files are in the following:

sites/default/files

I've tried various relative paths and none of them seem to index. At least I think that's what's going on. Anyone out there able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks so much!

Your directory setting seems

Your directory setting seems fine to me, mine is in the same format (no starting slash, no trailing slash, starting with 'sites') and works fine.

Have you tested the helper apps? The only thing that comes out of the box on Linux is 'cat' (which renders text files), so the PDF/Word/Excel/PPT rendering applications are probably not installed. It is good start to start out with a simple setup: upload a text file, make sure it is indexed (the database table is search_files_files), then search for it.

Also be aware that the module only indexes once a day. You can get around this during testing by following these directions: http://drupal.org/node/334386

Good luck!

Hi,

I am also trying to use this module without much of success. Have you got this working on your website?

Checked all configuration, still showing

Last Index = 2011-05-14 18:34:51
Files indexed = 0
Files indexed and scheduled for reindexing = 0
Directory Rescan Age = 10 [sec]
Next Directory (Re-)Scan at or after = 2011-05-14 18:35:01
Number of Directories configured = 1
Files found in configured Directories and Subdirectories = 0
Files without index attempt = 0

Cron ran successfully.

Please help.
Thank you
