Hi - just joined this group, and am a Drupal newbie. I am involved with a new startup company in Salt Lake City and we're considering using Drupal for part/all of our web presence. Would love to hear about other users' experiences. Also, I may be in the market to hire a contractor to help us develop our site - anyone out there interested?

Drupal the Best
I have been through pretty much all the different Open Source software. The big ones being Joomla and WordPress. Drupal might not make so much sense at first but I have recently gotten a job with a software development company Odin Development (http://www.odindev.com). Once I started they put me right on the task of starting to do Drupal developed websites. I have got to say that Drupal by far has been able to do so much more than any of those other Open Source projects. There are a few modules that are musts like Content Template, CCK, Views, and other SEO ones. But I would highly recommend Drupal. I'm excited to see 6 get stable and all the main modules I use get upgraded. From the beta testing I'm done, it is sweetness.

Welcome to the Group! Too
Welcome to the Group! Too bad you didn't join last week, you could've gone to our first meet-up. According to some of the other Utah Group people they've tried to get together before but never had a good turn-out. We had a pretty good turn-out yesterday. It's exciting to see more Utahans getting into Drupal.
