I think it's really cool that the badges at Drupalcon enable you to tag yourself. It is however hard to read the tags without staring, when you meet someone new. That's why I would like to propose that next Drupalcon these tags will be represented by an icon.
I sat down and created a first batch, if you have a creative moment and you want to make meeting people at Drupalcon a bit easier, take part in the Drupalcon-Druplicon contest. The best series will make history...

session rating?
Good idea!!
Maybe this can also be coupled with session rating :) So sessions would have these icons associated with them, which makes it easy for people to match their expertise / interests, with the sessions. (Or maybe I am too much of a visual type).
Also it is important that if these icons are printed in small (ie. on badges, in the session programme), they should be distinguishable with considerable differences in shape and/or overall look. The newbie was not easy to spot from here for example.
