Dinner was awesome, but it's been way too long since we had a proper meetup. :) add1sun from the Drupal Dojo and Lullabot is coming up to visit, so let's have another one of those "everyone come to the same Internet cafe and hang out and talk Drupal/hack" kind of things.

When: Sunday, November 11, 2007 from 1PM - 5PM
Where: L'Utopik, 552, rue Sainte-Catherine Est (Map)

Good idea

I was meaning to propose something similar myself. It was great to meet so many local Drupal users last time, and I'm looking forward to doing it again.

Can we pick a date for a meeting in December too? I suggest Friday, 14 December, from 1 PM to 5 PM, also at Café L'Utopik. (Most people I talked to on Tuesday said that meeting during the work week was best for them, so we could try alternating between weekends and weekdays to see which attracts the biggest crowd.) I even have an idea for an agenda: we could each prepare a 5 minute presentation on a cool Drupal trick we've recently learnt. It's short, so there's no pressure to prepare something complex, and it would be a good way to get the conversation started. I'll post this as a new event if a few people say they can make it.

And thanks again for your tireless organizing, Angie!

My son goes to McGill now, so I will try get up there for this and a quick visit with him. I would have come up for the Dries dinner, but I had only just got back from Montreal that weekend (and it's a long drive) - I was bummed about missing that.

No internet at L'Utopik - moving to Cafe Viennes

There is no internet at Cafe l'Utopik, so we will moving to Cafe Viennes in a short while - by 14h30 the latest. The internet is definitely working there.

It turned out it was just me, add1sun, incrn8, and xmacinfo.

incrn8 had to leave early, but the rest of the time, Addi and I helped Jacques get into patch creation and review. He found a silly thing in the installer, which we proceeded to fix in the Adding a link to reload the page on installation error issue, which was actually committed to core during the course of the meetup! Woohoo!! :) Way to go, Jacques!!
