I've started translating some of the modules into FIlipino. I've been searching for hours now and I cannot find the appropriate Plural Form for Filipino. KBabel gives me error messages everytime I save. Can you help me out here.

Here's a cool module to play with

After seeking advice from some of our friends in the Drupal community, they led me to modules that might help us in our Filipino translation.

These are the concerns that they highlighted (that I never thought of):

  • Language translation import | compatibility with Drupal 5 only, 6 only, or both.
  • Translation maintenance group must be assigned.
  • Quality assurance of language translations

So, for the sake of fun here are the modules that we could play with:

Video tutorials were also provided by Greg Knaddison.

I think getting a cvs account would really matter at this point so that many others could help us contribute in this issue. Any idea whom we could ask on how to get cvs accounts?

Yes, this is what we need.

Yes, this is what we need. If anyone can get the cvs account as Marc has mentioned, please do so. Maybe we can already create the translation team so we can start the ball rolling come 2008.

i still have my CVS access

I hope there's a a game plan

I hope there's a a game plan of some sort to do this since we are staying in different islands here in the Philippines.
We also have to agree on the milestones and methods which we will use and criticize ourselves with in the future...

The Drupal peeps use the irc channel a lot. In my case I just dive in from time to time. Maybe we could do the same?

Oh, and it's crucial that we have a cvs account for each participating member so that there are more committers. We also have to vote on a maintainer.

I'd like to push it further.

I'd like to push it further. Can we ask for volunteers for the translation team.

If you are interested, Just add your name, then probably we can create a new group for the Filipino translations.

The translation group will be the one to iron-out the road map for the translation work to streamline discussions.

Thanks again Marc for the directions.

What is expected?

I want to know what is the project outline. How much time will be expected to be devoted for the project? Deadline? I can maybe give 30 minutes to 1 hour of my time every day except the weekends.

Thanks

Mark

Rick of CPU and me have started translating the core modules, we are I guess 50% finish with the translation. Try jumping in and translate either views or cck modules which are some of the more popular modules. We might be finish with everything by March (I hope and pray).

Thanks for the info

Ive started translating the core of 6.x. It would be great if other people would pitch-in. Just give a shout what you are currently translating so there will be no redundant effort.
