Hey, thats great!

I've been neglecting this group for too long now, however with my new job being a Drupal-based job I'll be much more involved now :)

Feel free to get in touch with regarding this if you need any help organizing it.

p.s. I've added it to upcoming.org: http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/409757/

Looks like we have a good number of people attending. I know Forest Cafe is busy at times so i think it would be wise to ask the management if they would be okay to reserve a space at the back. I think they should be okay about this since i know some times there is an Edinburgh Linux user group (using Ubuntu) happening in the basement with a bunch of geeky students.

What do you think?

Hi guys/gals ..

This sounds very interesting .. I'm curious about what the agenda would be ??

Is it a meet'n'greet ?? .. is there a Drupal Doctor to diagnose our problems ?? .. or do we swill beer in large volumes and have a group hug ?? .. "you're my best (dru)pal ever .. etc .. " ... lol

Seriously .. I'm interested .. just would like the journey from Stirling to be worthwhile ..

Cheers

I am not into the group hug things by any way shape or form, interested in meeting face to face to have a chat and discuss certain issues that I am struggling with, and find out what everyone else is up to and what projects they have on the go, for a long time I have had a drupal site but when i try and get help for it, hit so many brick walls in every way trying to get it from community posts, plus face to face you can explain better and it takes less time, been speaking to Alan for a long time but never managed to meet up, didnt know there was many in Edinburgh so am really look forward to meeting those that turn up, as far as an agenda I think that for future meetings would be helpful

By the sound of things. It looks like this is going to be the first time Drupal users in Edinburgh (and around) are meeting up. So for me it would be nice for our initial meeting to get to know each other and your experiences with Drupal and generally to hang out, and exchange contacts.

So yes, i agree with KerrySanto, let's use this meeting to vote and set out an agenda for the next meetup.

Haystack, I don't know how much anyone here knows about Drupal inside out but i'm sure there's a lot of us on different levels which is good because i'm a newbie to Drupal. So come along anyway... should be a fun!

I'll be there!

I'll be there despite the s**t whether. There's only one room upstairs where this User Group will take place. So just ask the staff to direct you.

Had a quick look at the facilities provided through the groups in Drupal. Posted a Wiki entry on how to use a USB stick to run a drupal website. Also looked at other groups and posted my views on how we can't use Drupal groups very productively. These are at http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-scotland

Not sure how this area works where I get an e-mail note compared to the main groups page.
