Adding/Removing Yourself as an Event "Attendee"

The signup.module has been implemented on this site.

Moshe recently added a New Attendees tab on event nodes here on g.d.o. If you go to an Event page such as the Austin Meetup on Sat, 2/09/08 and run your mouse over the i am not attending link at the bottom of the event description, it should tell you the following:

Mark me as "attending" for this event

It's basically a toggle switch so if you ARE attending, you can go ahead and click it and it will add your name to the list at the "Attendees" tab at the top of the respective event page and the toggle switch for you will change to i am attending.

If you later change your mind and decide you will NOT be attending after having previously signed up as an "Attendee", then run your mouse over the i am attending link on the respective event page and it should tell you the following:

Mark me as "not" attending for this event

Again, it's basically a toggle switch so if you decide later on to NOT attend after having signed up, go ahead and click it and it will remove your name from the "Attendees" tab at the top of the respective event page. (The "toggle" wording/functionality is a bit confusing so I'm hoping it gets improved a bit.)

Of course, if you have a comment to make, then by all means go ahead and add yourself to the list of "Attendees" and then make your comment...or make your comment and then add yourself to the list.

In the end, you should be able to click on the "Attendees" tab and see everyone that plans to attend. Nifty, eh?
