SF Drupal Users Group Meetup!
The SF Drupal User's Group (perhaps to be nicknamed SF DrÛG?) will be meeting on Monday, March 17, 5:30-7pm - at PariSoMa! (http://parisoma.wordpress.com/contact/ - in SOMA SF, 10 minutes away from Civic Center BART).
Since many of us will have just come back from DrupalCon, there should be a ton to talk about. And if not, then it's just a social!
Fir this first one, I suggest up a Lightning Talk style agenda, and you can contact me via this post or come the night of, prepared to talk 5-10 minutes about some topic. (If you don't have a topic, that's OK - just come and listen / participate). Lightning Talks don't need to be technical - it can even be the framing of a particularly tricky challenge you're having. I'll probably do a recap of some of the DrupalCon sessions I attended.
I will be coming up from Mash-Up Camp that evening, so I might even have a Drupal-worthy mashup demo (although the bar was set very high during Dries keynote speech).
Remember - the SF Drupal User's Group is you. I'm just opening up a space. It will only happen if you make it happen. Come on down and make this group your own.
Lackluster interest?
C'mon, three people registered so far? I know everyone's exhausted from DrupalCon, and people don't want to commit to an event in advance.... But if it's just the three of us, then we'll probably just sit around and talk - I'm sure I can find a bottle of wine somewhere in the office.....

I have some "free beer" - for the first 12 people? :-) There's a corner store up the street if we take a collection for more. Or if you're brave, Boris' Frambozen rasberry beer is still here from the Drupal 6 party. ;-)

That was fun! It was a nice group of 6 peeps. We came, saw and drank beer - what more could you want? Thanks to Smokinggoat for starting what I'm sure will be a regular and cool thing. I promise not to be too Berkeley about it all and let SF shine through for once :). Cya next month.
