Cafe Venus and the Mars
Cafe Venus and the Mars Bar...
Its maybe a few blocks further than Paddy's but what do folks think about going to Cafe Venus and the Mars bar after the meeting? or Victory?

I'd be down for a change of pace
I think it'd be cool to explore a new venue.
EtherPad for SeaDUG
I set up an EtherPad account for use by SeaDUG at http://seadug.titanpad.com/
It has public access but requires password: seadug
Use the account anyway you want. I put it there for experimenting and collaboration. Create your own pads. Take meeting minutes. Etc.
All Seadug pads are listed here: http://seadug.titanpad.com/ep/padlist/all-pads
I started this pad: About EtherPad http://seadug.titanpad.com/1
A Drupal project to integrate EtherPad is here: http://drupal.org/project/etherpad
If you want to go off in a new direction, create your own account: http://xyz.titanpad.com/
The mother site for EtherPad is here: http://etherpad.org/

meetup.com group
Hey is there any chance we could maybe all chip in for a space on meetup.com? This way people could find the group easier and people could get easier reminders about meetings and RSVP for them and such. This way we'd know how many people are coming in advance. Just a thought. I haven't actually been to any of your meetings, partly because I keep forgetting about them. But I'm looking forward to attending this next one.
Drupal has an international
Drupal has an international meetup group. I am supposed to be getting access to it at some point. But frankly, I actually hate meetup, and I'm not going to give a dime to pay for an account. As the person who regularly creates our DUG posting here on groups.drupal.org (which seems like the right place IMO for drupal user group meeting information to reside) I'm not going to spend much time creating posts on meetup.
If you use the event signup feaure on this event node, you will get a reminder a day in advance that you have signed up (that is how it used to work), and adding an event to your own calendar is pretty easy, since our meetings are the 3rd thursday of the month, you could just set a recurring event based on that and be done with it.
We also typically cross post our event on the seattle tech calendar and upcoming.

Meeting reminders
If you signup for a calendar event, you can get an email reminder for the meeting.
Log in and Click the [Sign up] link on the event page.
Your username will appear on the Signups list:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/97214/signups/list
On your account settings,
- set your Time zone to America/Los_Angeles
- make sure your subscription/notification status is active and interval is at least daily (you can set status and notification interval for each thread or group you belong to)
I think the event reminder comes on the day of the event. Gregory Heller might have control over when event reminders are emailed.
Correction: Reminder is emailed the day before the event.
rsvp on g.d.o
I think we have a signup on g.d.o, people used to but most don't bother anymore. not sure what meetup.com provides (that we need) that g.d.o doesn't
How about 13 coins? it is
How about 13 coins? it is also restaurant week, so we could do 3 courses for $25!

Sadly I can not make it to what I thought would be my last DUG before I move. I am going to try hard to make it to the Camp though.
lightning talk
I have been working on implementing some of the things I learned about at the Summit, specifically building a development workflow using aegir with makefiles and installation profiles.
I can show a demo of how this works.

The meeting was a lot of fun; looking forward to Saturday.
In the hosting conversation, someone mentioned they'd like to get imap working with php on Dreamhost.
Just ran across the following link. It looks like it's possible to compile your own version of php with whatever modules you need and point Drupal at it using the .htaccess file:
