Linuxfest Northwest -- SeaDug booth?
Hi Folks,
I plan to be at the Seattle meeting next wednesday, but I wanted to post this event for all seadugers -- I work with the linuxfest northwest org team, and after going to SCALE linux in February and drupalcon last week, I think it'd be a good idea to get a few drupal enthusiasts to man a booth and possibly do a presentation as well.
For more information about the festival, goto: http://www.linuxfestnorthwest.org/
If you're interested in attending and helping out in the booth or a presentation proposal, please send me an email, japerry -at- jademicrosystems.com, post a comment, or find me at the meeting.
Thanks!

I"m going as well.
I know for a fact that their will be some drupal representation because I'll be at LFNW, just attending.
Also Angus Pratt is doing a presentation: "0 to 60mph - 5 page Corporate Website In 45 Minutes". He's using drupal.
see ya'll next week.

Who is Angus Pratt? (love that name...Angus!) It's great that's he's doing a presentation using Drupal.
Linuxfest has been lurking in the back of my mind since January. I went last year and had a blast. I would love to do a talk (or maybe a mix between Gregory, Shawn, and myself), but I haven't had any time to prep for it. I believe the deadline for presentation proposals is early April. Let's talk about it at our DUG next week.

I met Angus at the lullabot workshop in portland
He lives somewhere between bellingham and vancouver (on the canadian side), and was the one that originally brought up DrupalCamp.

Deadline coming up...
I'm going to be out of town starting tomorrow afternoon (Tues 3/25) until after the sign-up deadline. I guess I'm having cold feet, and I'm not sure if I should sign up to give that proposed talk on CCK/Views or not -- any comments on whether it would actually be useful for the audience of LinuxFest? I need decide by Tuesday at noon in order to sign up.
Also, only two people have so far signed up to staff the booth, out of at least 6 needed (that's assuming 1 person at the booth at a time is enough). If 4 more people sign up by the 1st, can someone apply for the booth on the LinuxFest web site? I don't think we should ask for a booth unless we're committed to staffing it for the whole festival.
Thanks,
Jennifer
To do or not to do
I would love to see a presentation on CCK and Views - Can't get enough or it... Do you integrate Contemplate module?
And I think for people that are ready for a little more than Intro to Drupal this is really the next step

...was all I needed, thanks! I'll go ahead and sign up to give the talk. I haven't use Contemplate yet, should I? :)
I'm heading out this afternoon for a week though, so if we get enough interest to do a booth, someone else will need to sign us up for that! Right now, I don't think we have enough people who want to do it.
