DrupalCon Portland event app
Saforian developed an event app for the upcoming DrupalCon Portland. We’ve researched, deliberated, and made some cut-throat decisions to compile our list of the best things to do in Portland. Our fun, interactive app lets you live it up at DrupalCon by showing you what’s going on at the conference and the hot spots to check out in Portland, along with making it easy to connect with other Drupal lovers. Not only is the app loaded with useful easy-to-access information but the way it's presented and its user interface are incredibly fun and interactive.

We are stoked to announce the creation of the Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit 2013 Vancouver organizing committee.
Ten people answered the call for interest and met at The Jibe office in downtown Vancouver's Gastown. It is, of course, early times, but here's what we have so far.
The conference will be on a Friday and Saturday in October. Subject to location availability we are planning for October 18th and 19th at a venue in downtown Vancouver.
The location hunt has started! If you have any contacts that can get us a deal at a great spot please contact our venue coordinators.

Linuxfest Northwest is coming back for 2013 -- the last weekend in April. After talking to some core maintainers, we thought it'd be a fun idea to do a sprint based around linuxfest northwest.
Sprinters are certainly welcome (and encouraged!) to submit a talk for LFNW, but the main goal is to get some sprinting done on Core in preparation for Drupalcon in May.
I'll also be leading a distros sprint, if people are interested. My main focus is on COD and Commons -- but if there are other distros that would like to host here, feel free.
Why Linuxfest Northwest?

West Coast Songwriters is a non-profit educational program based on the West Coast. We have a website that was built using Drupal 6. HOWEVER, we need to find someone to help keep the site alive and fix problems as they come up (which isn't that often).
Unfortunately, as we are mostly a volunteer organization we can't afford to pay anyone. HOWEVER, if you happen to be a musician and would like to have free membership and free entry to our annual conference and all events...we'd be happy to provide that for you.

2012 PNW Drupal Summit Post Mortem
This last weekend the 2012 Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit took place at the University of Washington in Seattle. There were around 250 people who attended this 4th iteration of the PNW Drupal Summit and by all accounts it was an enjoyable and informative event. This post is a bit of a post mortem on how the conference went from the perspective of the organizers.

Lost a Ring at 2012 PNWDS
Hello Drupal friends,
This was a really good Summit! Alas, by the end of the day Sunday, I had somehow misplaced my ring. If anyone happened to come across a little silver baby elephant ring whilst Drupaling on Sunday, odds are it was mine. I miss my little elephant. If you found it, would you message me?
Many thanks,
Jennifer
Help! Lost Wallet
Hey everybody,
It seems I have misplaced my wallet within the last 24 hours. If anyone picked up a silver metallic wallet with my ID in it. Please contact me!
Thanks,
Andrea
BOF: Oh $#!%!!! Stories from the front lines: how you really %&#$*@ up and how you saved the day, or salvaged the pieces.
Everyone has made mistakes, it just comes with the territory. The only thing we can do is just try and learn from them, so that we don't make them again.
Come in for an opportunity to hear, and share stories about those times when a deployment went bad, or any other mistake got made. Emphasis should be put on how the problem got resolved, or how the mistake could be prevented.

PNW Geo Tools BoF
Hi Everyone
Just putting it out there that we should have a BoF for Geo Tools. There's a lot of new developments with geo tools and it would be awesome to share our collective progress and problems.
I'll put it up on the board, hoping we can have it on Saturday.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Drupal.org D7 Upgrade Initiative - Final bugfix & QA sprint
It's the final week of testing and bugfixing on the D7 version of Drupal.org so that we can launch it before the end of the month, and I'll be hosting a working sprint at the PNWDSummit this weekend for anyone that wants to help out!
If you have a couple of hours during the summit, and the ability to find, fix, and/or test a D7 development or theming bug, see me in the Coder's Lounge and lend a hand.
Example tasks:
We need to focus on getting stable versions of the final five contrib modules (used by drupal.org itself) tested and released.
Drupal COD BoF/Sprint at PNWDS
Making this an event so people can signup to show interest. Check out the discussion here for more information:
http://groups.drupal.org/node/261913
This is a BoF/Sprint at PNWDS, we will be working on Drupal7 COD, helping people setup dev environments, going over some of the largest issues in the queue, and answering general questions people might have about COD.
I'll be around most of the weekend, so if there are COD related questions outside of the bof, come ask them in #drupal-cod
