We are a leading web design firm based in Truckee, CA, and are seeking front-end Drupal developers to assist with projects on a contract basis. We would provide the design, and you would build the site.
We have high standards for our websites. You must have high standards for the work you produce, as well.
• Must live in the Truckee, Tahoe or Reno area
• Must have experience with Drupal, 2-plus years preferred
• Must have excellent proficiency with Drupal theme files, HTML, CSS and jQuery
I am an experienced developer but new to Drupal. I am looking for someone I can work with for an hour or two at a time to answer areas I get stuck to accelerate my learning. Currently working with ubercart and autoadmin modules.
Can you recommend someone to help me. I live in Truckee but am open to remote help as well.
I've just posted a job description at http://groups.drupal.org/node/152124 -- with only four possible group slots, I opted for the larger groups -- but since this is a new, full-time job opportunity in the Reno/Tahoe area, I hope everyone in this group will take a look, and get in touch with me if you're interested, or refer others you know (if they're really, really good). Thanks.
I'm sorry if I'm hijacking the wrong forum here, but I noticed there were a number of Tahoe people on this list, so I thought I'd reach out.
Is anyone interested in doing an informal meetup on the North Shore? I'd be happy to organize a location; I just don't think I can offer much in the way of presentation, though I have ideas for discussion items.
I'd still be very interested in meeting in Reno at some point soon. The weather/having a new baby made it a challenge for me earlier this year, so I am very sorry I could not attend.
After a little bit of discussion, the date, time and location has been set.

The team from Civic Pixel / Deproduction / Denver Open Media will be in the Sacramento area the May 25-27th. We're going to be there to implement the Open Media System at Davis Access Media, but we'd love to do a song and dance for the SacDUG'ers while we're there if that's possible. We going to be presenting at the Open Video Conference June 18-19.Read more
I'm in Las Vegas, a member of the small Las Vegas Drupal Users Group, and I'm going to be in the Reno/Carson City area for a couple of days next month. It would be nice to meet some Northern Nevada Drupalers, have a cup of coffee, talk shop, network or whatever. Let me know if anyone would like to get together. I've never been to Carson City or Reno so I'm looking forward to the trip and I'd be willing to drive around the area to meet up.

As some of you know, I work for the University of Nevada's Reynolds School of Journalism. I’ve been working with their graduate program to develop OurTahoe.org as well as individual graduate student projects looking at the new ways "Web2.0" technologies can be used by journalists. Some of the projects resulted in Drupal modules like Promise.Read more
This isn't Drupal specific, but could be helpful to anyone using Drupal (or any other CMS for that matter). If there are Drupal folks interested in going out for a drink afterwards to talk tech, let me know.Read more
I'm "hosting" the weekly Dojo screencast this week. I will be demo'ing the TinyMCE WYSIWYG toolbar. I will be covering the installation process, the new features available in Drupal 5, and answering as many questions as time allows. I will talk a little bit about the dark days of TinyMCE and how I ended up as the maintainer, but I want to spend more time discussing what direction users what TinyMCE to go. What are the biggest problems that still need to be solved.Read more
