Open Media Coming to Sacramento

The team from Civic Pixel / Deproduction / Denver Open Media will be in the Sacramento area the May 25-27th. We're going to be there to implement the Open Media System at Davis Access Media, but we'd love to do a song and dance for the SacDUG'ers while we're there if that's possible. We going to be presenting at the Open Video Conference June 18-19.

Anyone interested in taking over the Reno group

I'm no longer in Reno, so it doesn't make much sense for me to manage this group. If you're interested in taking it over, let me know.

Reno-Area Drupal Meet-up?

I'm in Las Vegas, a member of the small Las Vegas Drupal Users Group, and I'm going to be in the Reno/Carson City area for a couple of days next month. It would be nice to meet some Northern Nevada Drupalers, have a cup of coffee, talk shop, network or whatever. Let me know if anyone would like to get together. I've never been to Carson City or Reno so I'm looking forward to the trip and I'd be willing to drive around the area to meet up.

Providing Coverage of the Tahoe Fire Without Reporters

As some of you know, I work for the University of Nevada's Reynolds School of Journalism. I’ve been working with their graduate program to develop OurTahoe.org as well as individual graduate student projects looking at the new ways "Web2.0" technologies can be used by journalists. Some of the projects resulted in Drupal modules like Promise.

Dojo Lesson on TinyMCE This Sunday at 11AM PST!

I'm "hosting" the weekly Dojo screencast this week. I will be demo'ing the TinyMCE WYSIWYG toolbar. I will be covering the installation process, the new features available in Drupal 5, and answering as many questions as time allows. I will talk a little bit about the dark days of TinyMCE and how I ended up as the maintainer, but I want to spend more time discussing what direction users what TinyMCE to go. What are the biggest problems that still need to be solved.
