menus

The simplest way to create rollover image menus in Drupal?

I am trying to find the simplest way to create menus using images that rollover.

I came across the imagemenu module which seems to be for that purpose, but get stuck in the process. The module asks for me to designate a "path" for the files (both original image and rollover), but everything I try does not seem to work. I have it pointing to the file folder set up under "Site Configuration/File system" and I also attempted to put in a URL directly to the file (http://www.....).

If someone is familiar with imagemenu and if that solution would work for me, please help : )

Active State Navigation Menu Item

Hi All,

I really enjoyed the last meet up on the topic of themes, thank you for the wonderful discussions. Since then I realized that I have had another pertinent question regarding theming with rollover and active menu images. I am using the image menu module to create rollovers for my primary navigation. Any ideas on how to have a page in a site represented by an active state button? Attached is an image of what I am trying to achieve.

Much thanks,

D

More flexible menu items

I have run into a limitation with the processing of menu items. If I enter a URL into the link, such as "about" (where I have a page with URL "about"), then the system replaces this with something like "node/8". That is problematic because I entered a logical reference and ended up with a physical reference (which is always inflexible design). So if I replace my about page later with a fresh one that has a different node number, then I have to go through all the menus looking for items that referenced about, and re-entering "about" or entering the new node number.

Issue with nice menus

I would like to add a menu item (primary links) the same title could be translated on the menu and be bound by the translation of the page to which it points.

I have the translation turned into a clean installation of Drupal, when I create a page in English and turn a menu item to this page, for example if this node is the node 01 to translate the page he set up the node 02 and consequently the translation translated menu item should point to the node 02 translated.

the menu system...

could someone list the different ways to handle the menu system.
for example, there is the $menubar... is there a way to theme that? perhaps some article I could read about how to use it.
also, what are the other options and perhaps some articles about them.

the rest of zen is pretty straight forward so far.

making a section title, above a menu

Theming question here...

I have a $secondary_menu in my page.tpl.php and it's doing what it's supposed to. Right above it I have a Section Title. I want that section title to be replaced with whatever the top-level menu item is. (Say the top-level is About | Products | Contact, and then 2nd level under Products is Shoes | Coats | Umbrellas. If you've clicked on Umbrellas, I want the section title to be Products.)

Google style mini-menus module now available

Hello Usability group!

I'm happy to announce that the MiniMenus module is now available. This module has been in use on CivicSpace sites for some time, and I recently got permission to open source it and begin maintaining the module in my free time for the community.
It's been tweaked since last fall with feedback from CivicSpace users, and I've personally grown to depend on it.
