Let's go out, have a few beers (or beverage of your choice) and talk Drupal. No agenda, just a bunch of geeks hanging out. We had a great time last month so we're doing it again. The location has changed, since Stout had problems accommodating us.

June NYC Drupal Group Meetup!

We're open to suggestions about what people would like to discuss, have presented, or otherwise cover. Leave a comment here saying what you'd like to cover at this meetup!

Introductions:

We'll start by going around the room and letting folks introduce themselves, saying:

• Say their experience with Drupal (if any)
• What they'd like to get from the meetup.

Following an inspiring evening at Drupal Beers, it seems a good time to start thinking about the next New York DrupalCamp. The last one was at the end of February, so if we are to have it six months later that would be late August/early September. DrupalCon Paris is the 1st - 5th of September.

In the April meetup, we discovered all the problems we had with the usability behind Drupal. Join us in May where we'll fix some of those issues.

I mentioned this at the NYC meetup last night. Here are the links and information.

Ryan Szarma (one of the two creators/lead developers of Ubercart) and the Commerce Guys (who just hired him full time) have agreed to develop for Ubercart donation support (It is really variable pricing support, "Pay what you want".) as well as EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer - to pay directly from your checking account).

I am one of the organizers of a group called "NYC Turquoise IT Group" at meetup.com. We are planning to organize an event based on "Drupal" and I am hoping to find someone here who might be interested to participate.

We would like to invite a speaker who is an expert in Drupal and is ready to volunteer to do a presentation about Drupal. Everything else will be organized from us. Projector and WiFi access is available. We will organize the location. Food and drinks are served as well. We are planning to organize the event
here at Manhattan some time May.

Come out in the beginning of April to talk about some Drupal awesomeness!

NYCDrupalCamp6 event will take place Saturday February 28th, 2009 at Polytechnic University in Brooklyn.

NYC Drupal Camps are free events, but we do need some sponsors in order to make it happen. Please get in touch with Eric to discuss sponsoring the event. As we have done in the past, any funds left over after we cover the costs of the event will be either donated to the Drupal Association or held to cover expenses of the next camp.
