This month at the Berkeley Drupal Users Group (BDUG) we'll be talking about Behat, a behavior-driven-development (BDD) tool that lets you write human-readable stories that describe the behavior of your application and can be auto-tested against your application.

Brian Young and Megan Miller: A Content First Approach to Responsive Design

Responsive design is the future of the web. More and more people are using mobile devices of all shapes and sizes to access the web and, more than ever, websites need to respond to this changing landscape of devices. Yet there are many different ways people are approaching this in the Drupal community.

Earlier this month, our favorite local cloud hosting powerhouse Pantheon introduced MultiDev, their solution for allowing teams of Drupal developers to share their work in a controlled, managed way. For this month's EBDUG meeting, we're excited to have Pantheon's founder, visionary, and all-around great guy, the one-and-only Josh Koenig, who will show us what all the excitement's about. Don't miss it!

EBDUG #5 is tonight! Come on down to Tech Liminal in Oakland, just 2 blocks from the 12th St BART station.

It's the beginning of summer, so we're going to do things a little different this time. Instead of a heavy academic session, we're going to have a roundtable discussion about issues and strategies involving hiring (and being hired) within the Bay Area Drupal world. What kind of jobs do people do? How do they find them? How much experience does it take, and what's the pay like?

JD Leonard will introduce Drupal 7's Entity API (http://drupal.org/project/entity, http://drupal.org/node/878784) and explain how it was leveraged in the development of http://textbookmadness.com/ which is launching at UC Berkeley.

Our last two meetings have focused on more technical Drupal topics
(Debugging with Eclipse and using CAS and LDAP). This month we're
breaking it down to some powerful Drupal basics: The Views module
(http://drupal.org/documentation/modules/views). Michelle Ziegmann
gives a great presentation on views, which will be of interest to both
new Drupal users and people who have created a few views in Drupal but
want to go deeper.
