I am in the process of launching many Drupal based membership sites. I am looking for a person who can manage the day to day aspects of setting up these sites.
You need to be very familiar with the following:
Multi-Installs
Adding Content
Cloning An Install's DB, Modules to use as a base for other similar sites
CiviCRM (and its modules)
Integration with PayPal
www.itbusinessafrica.com and www.rateoga.com
These are two new African projects that I am about to sign off . The first is self-descriptive and it is the online edition of a magazine named IT Business in Africa which is meant to be a meeting hub for CEOs, CIOs and all ICT professionals in Africa . The second is a public appraisal website for Nigerian leaders.

London Web Week
Seven days of web design and development events, taking place in central London from 26th May to 1st June, 2008.
A not-for-profit scheme, the aim of London Web Week is to promote the events within it, to raise the profile of the web industry and community both within London and further afield, and to highlight best practices in web design such as accessibility considerations.
Drupalcon UK
I think it would be awesome to have a UK drupalcon in 2009 or 2010. Does anyone have any ideas for where we could have it?
I talking to Warwick University about how much it would cost to hold it there (1200 delegates max.) but has anyone else got any ideas?
Would there be people to help out with the organisation of it, and willing to find sponsors etc?
Answers on a postcard.
Introductions
I thought it'd be perhaps good for us to introduce ourselves and see where people are, seeing as there 100+ members of the group.
I'm kelly, live in the midlands, near coventry. I'm reasonably new to drupal, not a developer (as in PHP), but build sites with it and enjoy working with it.
I hang out in the freenode #drupal-support IRC channel quite often, helping if I can.
I'm 29, currently not working, and have a number of interests, including music, science fiction/fantasy, history, reading, computing, gaming and crafts amongst other things.
Social Innovation Camp - London Drupal Drop-in April
The April Drupal Meetup in London will join with the first evening of Social Innovation Camp (http://sicamp.org). Come along and talk about how Drupal can help make the world a better place.
The camp is open to people from all faiths, so there will be some Joomla and Ruby types there. This will mean that talk will probably be a little more generic than usual, but it should still make for a very interesting night. Hey, why not hang around for the whole weekend.

Inspired by matason's Drupal North West UK User Group meet-up in a couple of weeks (just a bit too far for me), I thought I'd arrange a Drupal meet-up in the Midlands. We'll try not to make it too formal - a chance to meet other Drupalisers in the Midlands, mix and mingle, etc, but we'll have a good Drupal work-out too!
Free admission - bring your Drupal questions, problems, showpieces and demonstrations.

Meeting UK Drupalers at Drupalcon Barcelona...
I'll be in Barcelona next week for Drupalcon and I've got a few missions.
I've got 2 websites I want to look at converting to Drupal:
Kendra Initiative is a non-profit organisation that wants to see a more open and level content distribution system/marktetplace. We need quotes for building it in Drupal. We've got a skeleton project plan here:
http://www.kendra.org.uk/wiki/wiki.pl?KendraWebsiteUpdate
Any pointers, comments and questions would be useful now so that I could have answers for next week when we can meet in the flesh and discuss more.
Themeing/webdeveloper | Droople
Ebay style, table search results with CKK fieds and listing thumbnail
I am working on a classified ad site,
I built a custom content-type called advert.
I have managed to build the listing views using views, image field and image cache
I want a custom search box with tabbed options to either search the advert-node-type only or the rest of the site. So it will look like this:
|search| (adverts)(help)
the two tabs will be adverts and help
searching with the adverts tab selected will render only advert-node-type content
Drupal Developer
I have just completed my penultimate year of University in the UK, where I'm resident. I have another year to go until I obtain my masters, but ideally would like to work on Drupal projects until the next academic year starts (October.)

We're excited to announce that the next Drupal Drop In session will be held at the Imagination Group's European headquarters, a jaw droppingly beautiful office space in the centre of London.

Nottingham Drupallers...?
Any other Drupallers in the Nottingham/shire area, or even East Midlands?
North West Drupal Meetings
As far as I know the only UK Drupal meet-up appears to be in London. I've seen a few mentions of Drupal users being based in the midlands and north of the UK but wondered how many would actually be interested in a regular Drupal North meet-up?
Is Manchester central enough for such an event? It could be piggy backed on the existing web developer group meeting in the city centre.
Anyone know a good host for Drupal that offers exec() ?
Hi UK Drupallers
I am wanting to install the Image Enhanced Scaling module. The module developer says, "You'll find calls to exec() in both imagemagick.inc.php and image_enhanced_scaling.module."
I cannot run exec() on my existing host - it returns a "exec() has been disabled for security reasons" error. My host confirmed, "this is due to the way it works and the protection on the server. you need to change the ImageMagic to GD as this works fine with all image scripts I know."
I approached www.site5.com (a well-known Drupal host) who said they also do not allow calls to exec().

UK Science Fiction Community (and Drupal)
I am pushing Drupal as the "standard" CMS for doing Science Fiction Fan community websites in the UK. Although Fans like doing their own thing they can see the advantages of using something like Drupal and I've started with http://www.Eastercon.org/ and http://www.SFPoD.net/ (Science Fiction Picture of the Day)
Anyway - if there are Science Fiction fan Drupal users interested in helping out, or wanting help with their websites then give me a shout via the Drupal.org website or http://community.livejournal.com/gopherit/
