Suggestions for Books -
I am looking around for some books on Drupal to get me up to speed on Drupal - I am going to utilize Drupal for one of my personal projects - for Deaf Awareness Month (A month long event that we have every year) So any suggestions on some good books - Will be using Drupal 7 - I have looked at this book - http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTitle/Beginning-Drupal.productCd-047043...
Or would I be wasting my money on that?

It's been a while since we've had a regular meetup, so I hope most of you will come out. We skipped December because of the holidays, and January was the big Southwest Drupal Summit, so it's time to get together again.

Ways to add cck units label to fields
Is there another way besides hook_form_alter to add units labels to cck form fields? Units like "kWh", "kWh/month" or even pre-field like "$".
(I keep including "Central Texas" in these little Qs, but I wonder if they've all switched to Joomla out there .. ;) )

preferred group site for Houston Drupal
I was reading a post here about book reviews, and saw mention of a Houston Drupal Users Group site at http://drupaltx.com/. A quick search reveals that's the only mention of the URL anywhere on groups.drupal.org. I visited the site, and can't tell if it's getting any activity at all, but the most recent thing I found was half a year old.
What's the preferred site for keeping up to speed on Drupal goings-on in Houston? This site? the drupaltx site? The Facebook group? Are there any others I haven't stumbled on yet?

I have to give it up to all of you. I do not know how you all manage to ever get a site to work using Drupal. I have spent over a year playing with Drupal and just about every other CMS that is even somewhat popular. I believe that Drupal is capable of doing everything I have in mind. The problem is, I am incapable of setting Drupal up to do so. I mean you add a module, then you have to figure out how it effects all your other modules. What other modules you have to use to display and use the functionality of the module you just added. Configure user roles and permissions.
