The Open Source Initiative (https://opensource.org) has been invited to host a booth at the upcoming Percona Live Open Source Database Conference, set for 29-30 May 2019 in Austin, Texas.--but we need our your help.

We're reaching out to the local Austin (and surrounding area) open source community with an invitation to attend the conference on the OSI's behalf--in support of open source software and the OSI's work.

I didn't see anything planned for our part of the world and thought it might be fun to have something happen in Austin.

OSCON will be in Austin from May 16-19 this year. We have an opportunity to have a Drupal table in the expo hall. I'm looking for volunteers to coordinate the table and staff it during exhibit hall hours.

If you are interested in helping, please contact me. I will connect you with past volunteers who can share all the knowledge to make the event go well.

Hi all, I have been in manufacturing most of my life and sideline as a musician but have build a few sites using drupal. Currently I'm using it at work to help sales and with our engineering projects. I have used the webform module to build a sales tracking and engineering tracking site for us. I need to make it so I can archive individual submissions in my view (table). The edit/delete links are already there but I would like to have an archive link next to each entry so when the task is complete, the entry isnt visible (unless we need to pull up a report).

Hi folks,
I'm interested in working through the Pro Drupal 7 Development Book to get more savvy at developing modules. Anyone else interested in spending some time doing this? I think it would be more fun to do this in a small group. I would need to do it on Tuesday evenings or else maybe carve out some lunchtimes or setup some other creative schedule. I have my kiddo on Wednesday nights and I teach a class on Thursdays so the usual dojo times are tough for me.

We are starting an Austin High Performance / Large Scale Drupal meet up. It will be targeted at people who develop or want to learn how to develop sites that require sub second response times before caching and sites that can handle millions of visits a day. We could discuss strategies / technologies / coding techniques and infrastructure to achieve these goals. We can meet monthly at my offices, 43rd and Guadalupe. Any interest?
