going for plan-B

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Time is not on our side, we have been spending much time on venu. The international press center was close to the center, but quit expensive. The SAP-lounge that offered us there support is even a more beautiful location, but is out of walking distance and worse we are trying to get clarity for 20 days on the location. So I'm going for plan-B. The SAP-lounge is next to my university (vrije universiteit brussel) and I'm making arrangements to organize the conference there, when no clearly on SAP is offered by the end of this month the conference will take place on the university.

So for planning, there will (and shall) be a two days of DrupalCon on 22,23 September. The 21 there is also a GovCamp and 24 there is a BarCamp where Drupal is welcome (we expect to have a room there). The Barcamp is organized by Peter and the Govcamp by Bert, I hope we will give you more clarity on the mixed activities soon.

Thanks for settling this....I think the University will be fine. Robert and I are going to start drumming up sponsors.

Sounds good

Notice the idea of organizing the conferenc on the campus is outdated. The university couldn't provide and we finaly have a deal with SAP.
